I woke up very early this morning - picked up a latte and a friend and zipped up to Malibu. We raced the sun up the 1, and were met with the most gorgeous view of the sunrise. This is one of my favorite spots in the world. All photos are unedited.
Balconi Coffee Shop

Discovering a wonderful little coffee shop while getting lost in conversation with the sweetest friend over the best pecan bar I've ever had? Perfect Friday evening.
Punalu'u Beach
8.06.2014
Black sand formed from volcanic activity, dozens of coconut palms, and honu (or Hawaiian green sea turtles) taking naps in the sun are all found at Punalu'u Beach. I was absolutely giddy finding these guys on the beach and couldn't stop myself from taking too many pictures and standing and staring for ages. It's a sight not to be missed if you're traveling to the Big Island.
Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park
7.31.2014
A few days into our trip to the Big Island of Hawai'i (we stayed in Kailua-Kona along Ali'i Dr.), we decided it was necessary to take a trip to the Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park. Even in crazy winds and sweltering humidity (all on the same stretch of coast), it was a beautiful day. I'm completely in awe of the clouds covering the island - gigantic and low, you just want to jump up and touch them.
