Trees. All I got for you people are trees (which are my favorite). Pretend that this sentence is something witty and enlightening at at the same time.

A few fresh photos of my baby sister who was a pretty reluctant subject today (heaven forbid the weather drops below 70 degrees in Southern California). P.S. aren't her freckles the most gorgeous thing you've ever seen?
Joshua Tree - Part 3
1.02.2016
Alas, we've reached the end of the Joshua Tree trip photos - we had so much fun in the park, stopping at random points to watch people climb rocks, walk tight ropes, and take silly photos. I've never been one to believe in a new year being a big milestone or huge change in my life but it felt right to start 2016 surrounded by nature and great people that I love. I've really become part of a community in the last year and I'm so grateful for it.

Joshua Tree - part 2
Part 2 of our New Years trip in Joshua Tree. We started the day with a few slams at Denny's like true Americans. I wish we had more time in the park - we definitely have some epic hikes planned for the next trip. I would like to say thank you to my friends who tolerated my camera in their face but it brings me so much joy (and maybe one day I'll get good at it). I am going to make a real effort to take more photo trips with friends this year.
New Year's in Joshua Tree - Part 1
Sitting around a fire, sipping champagne and giggling with friends was a lovely, satisfying way to ring in the new year. Lying in a sleeping bag for a couple of hours while the temperature dips far below freezing and all the water at your camp site turns to ice overnight? Less than ideal...but still a good time. I can't remember the last time I saw so many stars - it felt like we could reach up and touch the moon. We definitely purchased an annual pass and will be back to the park soon - it's simply gorgeous.
